MAX2008 CFPoweredFlex session download
I promissed everyone that was at one the 4 CFPoweredFlex labs this year that I would post the files today. Here they are.
For everyone that was at one of my labs, I hope it was useful and that you enjoyed yourself just like I did. As mentioned during the sessions: if you have a question, send me an email. If you have any comments on the content of this year's lab, let me know so we can make improvements for next year.
ColdFusion (still) is among the best
It's the oldest commercial web application platform and it's still one of the best. Evans Data has interviewed more than 700 developers, asking them to rate 21 characteristics of application servers that they had personally used. And guess what … ColdFusion is among the best rated platforms. Several leading magazines have picked up the article: JavaWorld, CIO Magazine and InfoWorld all have the article.
Belgian CF User Group version 2.0
I was asked to talk about building Flex applications using a ColdFusion back end at the second meeting of the Belgian ColdFusion User Group yesterday. The meeting took place at the Adobe offices in Brussels. It was the second meeting of the brand new Belgian ColdFusion User Group (www.cfforum.eu). Congratulations guys, it is good to see that European CF usergroups are getting out of their 'hibernate mode'.
Around 20 people attended the meeting. I enjoyed it, there was a good interaction with lots of questions and discussion.
I am planning to post an entry on the application that I built during the session … all I need to do is find time. Stay tuned.
